How do I use the Well Safe® Well Sanitizer Kit?
Determine the proper dosage using the instructions included with the kit. Add the granules and pellets as directed, circulate the chlorinated water through the well and household plumbing, and allow it to remain in the system for 8–24 hours. Then flush the well and plumbing according to the included instructions.
How do I determine how much Well Safe to use?
Dosage depends primarily on the diameter of the well and the depth of the standing water column—not simply the total drilled depth. It contains NSF/ANSI Standard 60-certified calcium hypochlorite granules and sinking pellets that help distribute treatment throughout the well and plumbing system. Household bleach contains sodium hypochlorite and may vary in concentration or contain fragrances, thickeners, and other additives. Well Safe provides a purpose-designed two-part treatment with documented strength and well-specific dosage instructions. Do not use the water during treatment, and flush the system completely as directed before returning it to normal use.
